Cantered for the first time!(: How was yours?

After a year, yes a year, of riding my mare.. i finally got to canter today!(: It was so much fun! Except that she was a little naughty later in the ride:P What was your first time cantering like? We were going down this old dirt road by my house.. and I turned her around to head home. All of a sudden the rain started coming.. it was getting faster and faster.. so I pushed her up to a fast trot to get home. I could feel her wanting to go faster, so I squeezed her sides just a little. I'm sure I was holding my breath! lol and all of a sudden we were flying through the rain home! It was so exhilerating, and I felt so free!(: It was AMAZING! Share the story of your first time cantering/galloping(:
